How can I order cans with the German deposit system label (DPG)?

If you sell your cans on the German market, it is essential to comply with the rules of the German deposit system (DPG). The minimum order quantity for DPG-marked cans is 5,000 per design.

As you can order your digitally printed cans with the DPG mark via our platform, we’re happy to help you understand the process and any restrictions that may apply.

 

Steps for obtaining cans bearing the printed DPG mark:

Sampling:

  1. Download template: Use a special template with a placeholder for the DPG label.
  2. Request a sample: Request your sample as usual and enter the GTIN number in the field provided.
  3. Sample approval: Once you have received your sample, approve it to proceed with the order. Please check the GTIN carefully once again.

Order:

  1. Once the sample has been approved, you can proceed with the order
  2. The subsequent ordering and production process will be the same as for non-deposit cans.
  3. When confirming the quote, please check that the GTIN number for the relevant sample is correct
⚠️ Please note that:
  • Minimum order quantity applies: The minimum order quantity for tins bearing the DPG label is 5,000 cans per sample variant.
  • Costs for cans with the DPG label: +€0.025 per DPG can and €30.00 for the artwork setup fee (per GTIN).
  • DPG registration: You must be registered with DPG to proceed with ordering cans with the DPG label.
